DESCRIPTION:
Fire Station #7 is a three bay, 12 bed station serving the Enterprise South Industrial Park area. The building layout was kept simple to maximize the efficiency of the design and construction. As a result, the building, with high-efficiency mechanical and lighting systems, came in under budget.

Sustainable strategies include: proper solar orientation to minimize heat gain and maximize daylighting, high efficiency mechanical/lighting systems, very tight and thermally insulated building envelop, rainwater collection and reuse, solar hot water heating, and careful attention to healthy indoor air quality.
